This beach photo is of an urban beach, right in the middle of the downtown area! Who ever heard of such a thing! Actually it's not the middle obviously, but instead the entire east boundary of downtown. The city of St Petersburg planned this well when they planned their city. It's completely lined by parks with serve the public with beautiful parks but also put some distance between the water and the building in storms. Most cities would have just sold the land to the first condo builder that came along. This was taken with my Fuji FinePix E550 .
